Description:
This content will familiarize telecommunicators with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations, as they pertain to telephones and radios in public safety environments. It will also discuss differences and/or issues involving wireline and wireless communications in public safety situations, basic features and functions of radio equipment, and types and features of various telephone systems.
Objectives:
IDENTIFY Federal rules and regulations involving radio and telephone communications in public safety environments.
IDENTIFY basic features and functions of radio, telephone, and other equipment used in public safety telecommunications.
